USDA ANNOUNCES 2010 WHEAT MULTI-PERIL CROP INSURANCE PRICES

Spokane, WA, September 17, 2009 --- For Idaho, Oregon and Washington,
USDA's Risk Management Agency (RMA) has announced the PROJECTED 2010 Crop Revenue Coverage (CRC) Base Price of $5.55 for all wheat; Income Protection (IP) Projected Price of $5.55 for all wheat; and Revenue Assurance (RA) [available in Idaho only] Projected Price of $5.42 for winter wheat. RMA also announced an additional price election for 2010 Malting Barley (winter seeded) under Option A at $1.40 per bushel in the Idaho Counties of Cassia, Nez Perce and Payette. These prices are critical for producers who are evaluating which small grain crop insurance product or plan will provide the best risk management tool for their operation. Sales closing date for fall planted barley with winter coverage and wheat in Idaho, Oregon and Washington states is Wednesday, September 30. Producers should contact their local MPCI agent for complete crop insurance details.
