All wheat stored in all positions on Sept. 1, 2020, totaled 182 million bushels in Washington, up from 155 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 13 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 55 percent compared to the previous year. In Idaho, wheat stored in all positions totaled 106 million bushels, up from 92.2 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 20 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 9 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, wheat stored in all positions totaled 49.4 million bushels, down from 52.8 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down slightly, while on-farm stocks were down 25 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 2.16 billion bushels, down from 2.35 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 10 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 4 percent compared to the previous year.
In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 8.70 million bushels, up from 6.12 million a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 60 percent bushels, while on-farm stocks were up 7 percent compared to the previous year. Barley stocks in all positions on Sept. 1, 2020, totaled 52.2 million bushels in Idaho, down from 59.3 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 2 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 18 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 1.35 million bushels, down from 1.67 million bushels. Off farm stocks were up 80 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 58 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 180 million bushels, down from 190 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 3 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 7 percent compared to the previous year.
Oats stored in off-farm locations on Sept. 1, 2020, totaled 169,000 bushels in Idaho, up from 106,000 bushels a year ago. In Oregon, oats stored in off-farm locations totaled 308,000 bushels, down from 228,000 bushels a year ago. In Washington, oats stored in off-farm locations totaled 93,000 bushels, up from 54,000 the previous year. Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 66.9 million bushels, down from 60.1 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 22 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 5 percent compared to the previous year.
