Mississippi River shippers get weeklong tour of Columbia River shipping system

A group of Mississippi River shipping industry figures were treated to a tour of the Columbia-Snake river grain export system last week by the Washington Association of Wheat Growers alongside other local groups.

The Columbia River is the third largest grain export gateway in the world behind only the Mississippi and Brazil’s Paraná. Nearly 30 million tons of grain traveled from the Great River of the West to the Pacific and into the world last year. Read the rest of the article here.
