From NASS

There were 5.8 days suitable for fieldwork, down from 6.9 the previous week. Statewide temperatures for the week ending Oct. 24 were below normal.

San Juan County experienced cooler temperatures with some rainfall throughout the area. Cool-season annual vegetables were doing well. Some late season grain and pasture renovations were done. In Chelan County, heavy rain helped ease drought conditions. This rain helped improve various crop conditions throughout the area. In Yakima County, many areas received significant amounts of rainfall. Apple harvest continued with late varieties like Fuji, Braeburn and Cripps Pink. In Adams County, all harvest was complete except carrots and dry corn. Winter wheat planting continued with some already emerged. In Whitman County, there was some precipitation, but more rain was still needed.
