Learn more about oilseed cropping systems from WSU website

canolaThe following updated resources are available on the Washington State University Oilseed Cropping Systems website (scroll down the home page to see all items):

• Spring oilseed supply list from seed dealers and retail outlets in the Pacific Northwest. Canola, mustard, camelina, sunflower, safflower and flax are all available.

• Remember the Crucifer Quarantine now applies to Eastern Washington counties. ALL seed must be tested for blackleg, certified blackleg-free and every bag should have a WSDA-issued tag. This also applies to cover crop mixtures containing cruciferous crops such as canola, radish, etc.

•USDA-ARS/WSU 2015 winter canola variety trial results from Okanogan and Pomeroy.

• University of Idaho 2015 spring canola variety trial report from four locations in Idaho and three locations in Washington.

• Whole-Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP) and insurance coverage deadline for spring crops is March 15. A presentation about WFRP from the WSU Oilseed Workshops is posted on the website.
